Dr. Timsina served as Professor of Human Ecology at Tribhuvan University for 35 years (1987–2023). He was the Associate Professor at Patan Multiple Campus and founded the Centre of Excellence for PhD Studies, enabling over 100 scholars to complete their PhDs with another 250 in progress.
Dr. Timsina has published approximately 30 scientific articles in international journals covering ecology, environment, HIV/AIDS prevention, frog farming, climate change and wildlife conflict. His 15+ books and manuals are widely used in development practice and academic programmes across Nepal.
